As part of the restaurant’s Cow Appreciation Day, on  Friday, July 9, customers who wear a cow costume to any Chick-Fil-A location will receive a free combo meal.

On its website, the quick-service chicken restaurant stipulates that in order to earn an entire meal — entrée, side, and drink — diners must “make an effort to be dressed like a cow from head to toe.”  Chick-Fil-A will reward partial cow attire (something as simple as a cow-spotted accessory qualifies) with a free entrée.

Aside from giveaways taking place at individual restaurants, other events include two photo contests open to the restaurant’s Facebook fans and a tour of New York City by a double-decker bus filled with the chain’s mascots, the Eat More Chikin Cows.

Chick-Fil-A restaurants nationwide will take place in Cow Appreciation Day all day July 9, 2010.
