Carl’s Jr. today announced its latest product, the Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Salad.
The new entrée contains a lettuce mix topped with cucumber, red onions, grilled pineapple, and grilled chicken breast. Fried wonton strips and a teriyaki-flavored sesame dressing accent the dish.
The Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Salad becomes the third menu item to feature grilled pineapple. According to a news release issued by the restaurant, the Teriyaki Burger and Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich, which prominently feature the fruit, both debuted during the summer season as a way of “showcasing the flavors of the [Hawaiian] Islands.” The burger first appeared in 2007 as a limited time offer before reappearing as a permanent menu item last year, while the chicken sandwich premiered this past May.
Beginning today, diners can purchase the Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Salad for $4.99 at all Carl’s Jr. locations for a limited time only.
