Burger King on Monday debuted its newest menu offering, a revamped Tendergrill Chicken Sandwich — now served on toasted ciabatta bread made with whole wheat flour.
Burger King announced the nationwide rollout of its newest menu offering, the Steakhouse XT line of premium hamburgers.
Though already available in select markets, the line — which consists of three hamburgers, each containing a seven ounce, seasoned ground beef patty on a bakery bun — should arrive in all U.S. and Canadian Burger King locations by the end of the month, according to an official news release issued by the company.
The line’s flagships sandwich, the Steakhouse XT, debuts at an introductory price of $3.99, which the Wall Street Journal notes is the most the chain has ever charged for a single-patty hamburger.
Using information from an official press release, USA Today reported on Burger King UK’s latest digital campaign, “Singing in the Shower.” As a way to promote their new sausage, egg, and bacon sandwich, “Breakfast in Bread,” the fast food chain has set up a website that offers clips of a 20-year-old London woman lathering up while crooning pop songs.
As part of their Eat This, Not That! feature, the editors at Men’s Health have compiled five lunches they claim are the best way to enjoy a fast food lunch that is both healthy and cheap.
Using an article from the print edition published earlier in the year, the magazine’s website suggests a combination of a side order, main entrée, and drink from five different quick-serve eateries in the United States, as well as lists an alternative lunch that’s comparably cheap, but drastically higher in either calories, grams of fat, or sodium.
The cheapest lunch suggested can be found at Taco Bell for $2.10. Probably not surprisingly, the meal lowest in calories can be bought at Subway — a footlong, Oven Roasted Chicken Sandwich with yogurt and water totalling 405 calories.
All five meals can be found after the jump.
